God is Always Speaking | Testimony | Apply His Will

God speaks to us in many different ways, but one thing is for sure – He is always speaking! In this post I want to share with you guys a short testimony of how God showed up for me right when I desperately needed His guidance the most!

God is always speaking, but it’s up to us to listen, take the time to actually seek Him and pay attention to what it is He is showing us. God can speak to us in many different ways: dreams and visions, through prayer, wise Godly counsel, circumstances, gut feelings/intuition (aka Holy Spirit inside of you!) and especially through reading the Word!

Sometimes we might feel as though God is not speaking when really it’s that He is, but it just isn’t something we want to hear – or we might be too distracted with the things of this world to hear His still small voice that guides us.

For God may speak in one way, or in another, Yet man does not perceive it.”

Job 33:14, NKJV

In this blog post I wanted to share with you guys a quick testimony of how God showed up for me right when I needed His guidance the most!

For those of you who may not know, I was born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria but have lived in Las Vegas for the past 18 years. Long story short I felt led by God to go back to Bulgaria last year. I didn’t exactly know why God was calling me to go to my home country, but I just felt that He had a certain plan and purpose for me going there – and He truly has blessed me in so many ways. God has done so much for me and gave me many incredible opportunities here… but I never knew when I would be going back to the states.

The past couple of weeks I’ve had this incredible desire to return back home to Vegas and be with the rest of my family that lives there. So throughout the following week I kept praying to see if it was really God’s will for me to return soon and if now is the right time. I felt that this was a pretty major decision to make and I wanted to be sure that I wasn’t just making it based on my own desires.

I kept praying, but I never really felt a certain “yes” or “no” answer from God. So after going back and forth about it, I decided to finally go online and just book the ticket. Before booking, I said a prayer which was along the lines of:

“Lord, I don’t have much time. I just need some sort of confirmation before I make this decision right now. Please speak to me.”

Then I was like, “You know what, Lord, I’m just going to flip open a random page in the Bible and I pray that it will give me clarity.”

This is what I flipped to:

"Go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been" - Mark 5:19

Needless to say, I was absolutely speechless.

Now I understand what people mean when they say the Word of God is alive! Guys, God is so real and so powerful and trustworthy. He knew I needed an answer fast. I was seeking an answer for a couple of weeks before, but God is never late. Right before booking my flight, He showed up.

God can see our motives; He knows our intentions. When we truly want to follow God’s will and His guidance in our life and make the right decisions – He will always speak to us! His timing may not be lined up with yours, but He is never late. Don’t give up on your prayers or seeking God for an answer just because you don’t receive one right away.

So before you make any decisions, whether big or small, truly seek God. Pray to Him. Read the Word before you make the final decision and trust me, God will speak to you!

  1. In the midst of hardships, we tend to feel our prayers and cries to God aren’t being heard because we may not see an immediate change in our situations. This is a misconception of how our relationship with God actually should be. We are to put our all our trust into God’s hands, after all, “God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.” 1 John 3:20. And just because we do not see an immediate change doesn’t mean God never heard you, because He has!
